In most cases, becoming a teacher will require you to have a bachelor’s degree in that area. This type of degree can take you up to four years in a traditional brick and mortar classroom. However, when you study from home, it can take you as little or as much time as you want.
The biggest requirement for becoming an English teacher is that you spend 120 semester hours in a teaching program with your major being in English. This will allow you to become certified and you can start teaching English anywhere in the world once you complete the program.
There are some students who complete the course in just a few weeks. Others may take a couple of years. It depends on how devoted you are to finishing quickly.
